Sebek 2011

This is a remake of an older character I did about a year ago, It was my first character I done for my character design module when I was a student.

Sebek is an Egyptian God and I was inspired by these figures I used to collect when I was younger, they were called Monsters In My Pocket, they where based on mythical and ancient monsters.

You can check out a development movie of sebek 2010 here

Anyway, heres a Zbrush screenshot...(I was going to have him in water but failed to get it looking real)

Hope you all like it!!

Fright Night!!

I love this scene from Fright Night, great special effects and the vampire looks so cool plus he has some of the best vampire teeth I've seen! Really good film you should all watch it.

There's also a remake coming out this year, pretty excited for it.

Male Anatomy Study

This is a full male anatomy study I done to help me become more familiar with the muscle groups and structure.

I also done the hands, feet and face which I felt I needed a lot of practice on and can be tricky. I'm not fully satisfied with the face but I learned a few things to help me next time.

I look forward to doing more!

Orc

Thought I'd be original and sculpt an orc.....

I wanted to try create realistic skin, below I show a bit on how I created the skin composite...

You can see I've got a base skin material, the subsurface scattering layer and lights. This was the base for achieving the realistic skin.

Above is the final composite of the orc's skin before I tweaked the color and shadows to blend with the background. You can see I've added the AO, shadow, and specular layers.

Horror Head

This is a little piece I done and many more to come, for practice. Sculpted and rendered using Zbrush.
I wanted to try and achieve realistic skin and sub surface scattering look by solely using Zbrush.
So I gave it a shot.....

Close up with a slight change in color balance....

Any critiques and comments are welcome!
