Environment Completed
I finally finished my small environment scene, I called it 'abandoned corner'. Originally, I wanted to expand the scene but decided to just leave it as a small corner scene and focus on texturing it the best as I could.
The foliage took me some time to do, I had to find the perfect textures and make alphas etc which can be time consuming. I also changed up my light set up because I got kinda tired looking at my old one and was starting to lose interest in this piece, also my new lighting fits the abandoned theme a little better with the darker, desaturated colors.
Here is the final piece
and a wire frame, whole scene was about 8900 tris
I will be posting up some renders of the separate pieces in the scene soon so stay tuned!
Hope you like it

Environment W.I.P 2
Heres an update on my small environment scene, completed about 70% of texturing but decided to add more to the scene as it looked quite plain and empty...so I done a rough paint over to show some of the changes and additions I had in mind, I though it may be a good idea to add some foliage to break up some of the colors.

New Environment W.I.P
I'm currently working on an environment piece at the moment, I've been trying out new techniques and workflows with it so its taking me some time to complete but its slowly getting there.
I'm quite new to environment stuff so Im just trying to learn as much as I can by doing this piece. It started out as a small scene as I wanted to focus on texturing, but I thought it would be cool to make it look complete with some sort of background so I will be finishing that off.
Here is a my scene at the moment....
still got some optimizing to do and I may normal map the floor, but i'll try a few different things and see what works.
The character model is there for scale purposes! Should have this finished by the end of the month so check back soon.

More Baron Shots
I promised some more shots of my recent head sculpt I done so here they are!
Also..
I've been trying to do some environment stuff recently, mostly testing out some techniques, trial and error stuff and should have an environment piece to post up soon.

Baron Samedi High Poly Head
I've been working on this guy this past week and had some spare time to finish him off this weekend.
I Sculpted and rendered in Zbrush, I managed to set up some nice lights, SSS and other stuff in Zbrush so I didn't have to composite anything and the result was pretty good.
I'll get around to posting up some more images soon, without the hat and face paint etc. Check back soon!

The Lieutenant is the final addition to the 'Capture' models. I'm looking forward to posting up a group shot of all the Zbrush models, so check back soon for that.
Hope you like it!

Major Low Poly
Here is the low poly version of the Major.
Texture size is 256x256, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get all the details in due to the texture size so I had to be really careful whilst laying out my UV's so the more detailed areas got more space.
I've been texturing all day so I'm off to watch a movie! Hope you like it!

The Major!
Just finished the Major piece, it was probably the most complex character to create in the series as it has more intricate detail and the armor was more tricky than others.
I'm nearly done with the Napoleonic themed character busts, I have one more left to do..the Lieutenant so stay tuned!

High Poly Modelling Practice
I've been feeling like I need some high poly modelling practice lately, I took a walk the other night and saw a postbox and thought it would be cool to model.
I modeled it from one reference image and all modelling was done in Maya except the crown emblem which was sculpted in Zbrush.
Pretty happy with the outcome but then again it was pretty simple to model so I'm looking forward to the challenge of modelling something more complex next time.
I will eventually bake normal maps and create a low poly version, I'm quite excited to texture it up!
